Tails of New York Slot
What would the slot industry do without animals? They’re used as the theme for so many different slot games and here’s another one. ‘Tails of New York’ comes from Saucify and features a cat, a fox and a few other animals, all with tails of course, that roam the streets of the Big Apple. It’s an entertaining game with lots of chances to get some big wins.
This is a five-reel game which has a whole host of animal-related symbols on three rows. There is a total of 40 pay-lines here but don’t worry you don’t have to be financing all of them on each spin of the reels. It’s up to you to decide just how many you activate and can always adjust that number on each and every spin. Playing the game costs, you between £
The look of the game will certainly put a smile on your face. The backdrop to the game shows New York in all its glory. On the left hand side of the reels there’s a giant lamppost and a hydrant.
The symbols here are all a bit cartoonish but really fun to look at. How else can you react to an Eagle that’s dressed up as the Statue of Liberty? There are two dogs in this game. You have Buddy who’s a black and white dog who could do with a bit of grooming and Gordan who’s a bulldog who likes smoking bulldog. Also there’s Chow who is a cat who is smoking a pipe, why I don’t know but it is. We also see a fox and a goat I think, ask David Attenborough he’ll be able to tell you. Other symbols include a yellow taxi, one of those huge cups of coffee, a newspaper and a pizza. The background to the game is also theme-related with the noise of the traffic and a woman who you occasionally hear shouting ‘Taxi.’
There are some good wins to be had in this game. Five Buddy symbols on an activated pay-line wins you 7000x your line-stake and it’s 2000x for a quintet of the Gordan symbols.
Buddy is really busy in this game as he’s also the wild symbol in this game and can substitute for other symbols. That helps you get some wins and any that he does create are doubled. Look out for him to appear on the right side of the reels. When he does he takes a photo and this turns another symbol wild. That can really get you some more wins. The scatter symbol in this game is the fox who’s driving a taxi. There’s also Chow’s van, both important symbols in this game.
This game has lots going on, so make sure you have a good look at the paytable. Also have some free games to see how it runs. Always handy as you can get yourself into the bonus games without having to spend any cash doing so.
All the control buttons are down the bottom of the screen, so it is easy to set your stake for each spin. There’s also an autospin feature that allows you to set up to 110 automated spins of the reels.
Free Spins Round
In order to win yourself some free spins you need to get the scatter symbol appearing anywhere on the reels. Three of them win you five free spins and with a 5x multiplier. Get four and your reward climbs to seven free spins and a 7x multiplier. For five it’s a tasty nine free spins with a 9x multiplier. Some decent wins can be achieved here and with those multipliers it’s hardly surprising you can’t re-trigger the free spins.
That’s not the only bonus feature though. Three of the Chow van bonus symbols sees you triggering the Chow’s Run feature. Here there’s a cat unloading various items from his van. These include a famous painting, a tiara with plenty of jewels and a Ming vase. Just pick from the treasures to reveal a cash win.
Conclusion
I really like this game a lot. The theme is a good laugh and it’s well executed. The fact there’s no playing card symbols filling up the reels is always a good sign for me. Thought has been put into this game with lots of features. The additional wild, free spins and the pick ‘em game are all good ways of getting some handy wins. Definitely recommended.
